HOW TO DANCE IN A PUBLIC SPACE

“OutPut” is a series of performances investigating the relationship between art and space.

The global events of recent years, the closure of museums and institutions that we experienced in the months of Covid have led us to reconsider the way we enjoy art, and the destinations for which art is conceived and produced. Everything revolves around a reconsideration of spaces: public and private, open and closed. OutPut is a project in 3 acts that aims to investigate these new relationships through live performances, by Riccardo Benassi and Michele Rizzo. The live acts of the two artists were staged at the Triennale in Milan, under the curatorship of Davide Giannella and with the support of Fondazione Marcelo Burlon. Benassi, a visual artist based in Berlin, presented the audio and video research "Dancefloorensick", while the Rizzo, a choreographer residing in Amsterdam, created choreographies that involved the spectators and the space of the Triennale: "HIGHER" and “REST”.
